Great package, especially if it's your first PS4

Slim size, but works just as great as a regular PS4. Came bundled with Star Wars : Battlefront II at an excellent price that I couldn't pass up. It's a great startup package if you're new to the PS4. I'm always late getting the new consoles. By the time I get them, they're not considered new anymore. So for me this was a great bundle to start me off on my PS4 experience. Comes with everything needed to get started. PS4 Slim console, 1 PS4 Controller and usb cable, HDMI cable, Earbud piece with a mic I believe, and the Battlefront II game disc.

My fiance has the original PS4 design and while the specs are generally the same this is a refined product. It's surprisingly small but still powerful and efficient. I was worried about noise given its size but it's not a problem. The 1tb of storage is great (esp. as free to download games like fortnite become more popular) and boot/load times are comparable between this and the original. For most people, this will be plenty of power and the PS4 Pro will be overkill. Wifi and Ethernet connectivity are both great. I really like the small details like the , "x", "o", square, and triangle underneath the ps4 and on the side. The update controller is responsive but not a major upgrade. I do wish there were rubber feet on the bottom but that is minor. Overall, it's a really refined PS4. It feels like an upgrade coming from the original (and we wanted two consoles) but if you want something significantly better than the original PS4 (and you have the money) the Pro might be the way to go. For everyone else, this is a great option.

I was quite disappointed when I missed the Black Friday deals, as everywhere sold out so quickly I was unable to take advantage of the deal. I was pleasantly surprised when this deal popped up not long after. I personally do not care for Star Wars, but the price was unbeatable.

I was looking at some game play videos online and I saw this one for Horizon: Zero Dawn. I thought it was the most eye catching graphics I had ever seen for a video game. I then find that it is only for the PlayStation. I said to myself that I wanted that game,so I started window shopping the PlayStation systems of which I had never owned. I owned the Xbox One S,was planning on getting the Xbox One X some time later. That plan changed after seeing the Horizon:Zero Dawn video footage.
I made up my mind that I would get the Playstation 4 Slim. Its size appealed to me. I ordered a copy of the game from the a seller on the auction site before I had picked out where to purchase the PS4Slim. Amazon had the better choices, especially with 2 day prime shipping. I unboxed that little beauty, connected to to the TV. The graphics are beautiful!! and that's just at 1080P. It was my LG 4k tv that its connected on. The streaming sites look great too,ie Hulu,Netflix etc...
I have a Sony HTC 160 sound bar with the tv and audio from PS4 games sound good. The streaming sites sounded a little weaker. I like the Dual shock PS4 controller with sound intergrated as needed. My plan was to only get games exclusive to PS4. I also Have PC and Xbox games,some with a copy for both like Assassins Creed Origins.
The PS4Slim can put out some heat,so I placed one of my laptop coolers under it.After a few days I connected the PS4slim to my Samsung Plasma TV. Just as gorgeous as It was on the 4k tv at 1080p. I had no Idea what I was missing. No wonder this thing is outselling Xbox.

Great, as expected. I bought this slim model as a replacement to my original PS4, so regarding the device itself what I'd note is the reduced size and weight, plus having 1TB of memory is awesome. Couldn't use this unit much yet, but it's been great so far, can't say that there's a difference (in performance) with the unit it replaced. Shipping was on time and packaging was good.
As for PS4's in general, no complaints and it's an awesome console. Had few issues but these were software related and not necessarily to do with PS4 but games/bugs. Replaced it to have more disk space, but the original device still works great after about 4 years. At most I'd say it's louder when loading and processing, nevertheless the device holds strong after heavy ("adult", age wise at least) usage.
